Dana Telsrow

Dana Telsrow (b. 1990, he/they) is a multidisciplinary artist living in Iowa City, IA. After graduating from the University of Iowa School of Music in 2013, Dana toured the US as a solo artist and as part of the duo Karen Meat.  When home, he worked as an audio engineer at Flat Black Studios in Lone Tree, IA. As live music venues shut down during the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, drawing became Dana’s primary creative practice and has since expanded into painting and photography. In 2024, they began working as a video editor for Norway based artist and instructor Stephen Bauman.

Dana’s work has been exhibited in galleries throughout the United States, including recent group exhibits at Susquehanna University (Selinsgrove, PA), the Sebastopol Center for the Arts (Sebastopol, CA), and the St Louis Artists’ Guild (St Louis, MO). 2024’s “Alternate Realty” at Public Space One (Iowa City, IA) is among five solo exhibits held in Iowa since 2021.
